The National Sheltie Rescue Network (NSRN) provides leadership, organization, communications media, and limited financial support for the many individual groups that rescue, rehabilitate, and place Shetland Sheepdogs.

Sheltie Rescue is a non-profit organization that helps Shetland Sheepdogs (Shelties) in need throughout the country. The National Sheltie Rescue Network helps and supports the different Sheltie Rescue groups in each state. There are Sheltie Rescue groups in most areas.

This page is dedicated to Dorothy Christensen, who served as the National Sheltie Rescue Network Coordinator since she founded the organization in 1998. Dorothy continues to help Shelties as Founder of and Advisor to the organization.

National Sheltie Rescue Network Volunteers
The Foundation provides charitable grants and funding to rescue operations, scholarships, health research, legislation education, and other related causes. During the past few years the Foundation has made more than $100,000 in distributions to the charitable purposes of the ASSA. Your gift to the Foundation is tax deductible to the extent provided by law. Donations made through the ASSA Foundation can be earmarked for NSRN or a specific rescue group.
